The Orinda Preschool - TOPS is licensed by the State of California Department of Social Services Community Care Licensing, and has won accreditation and re-accreditation by the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC). We maintain excellent teacher/student ratios, and have a highly qualified staff, committed to provide an enriched and stimulating program for young children. TOPS is a play-based program. This means your children spend their time interacting with materials and others in self directed play. As a staff, we focus on the development of the whole child. We plan our curriculum to meet the developmental levels and interests of the children. All areas of your child's development (social-emotional, physical and cognitive) will be challenged daily when interacting with other children and the materials provided. As participating parents, you will notice that the classrooms are busy with children playing, talking, singing, moving and exploring. The children are actively involved in their learning.
